We spent a beautiful morning at the Compton location of Alma Backyard Farms. Mondo, Lacey, and Erik graciously toured the grounds with us and shared a bit about Alma's mission and history. Through their farms and programming, Alma works to support re-entry by creating jobs and community for those previously incarcerated. We walked around to see what they're currently growing–tomatoes, peppers, bananas, zucchinis, and more!–then ended our morning with a delicious chilaquiles brunch made with farm-grown ingredients.
