For our July Present Walk, we spent a sunny Sunday afternoon at Cafe 2001 writing welcome letters to newly settled immigrants on behalf of Miry’s List, a nonprofit organization made up of neighbors and friends dedicated to welcoming new arrival refugee families into our community through inspired crowdsourcing solutions. We split a couple slices of watermelon cake, adorned our letters with stickers and washi tape, and wrote well wishes for the incredible families building a new life in the United States.
